Is JMRI offering any other device drivers in Preferences when you start the program? When JMRI is started it will list in preferences all the serial, or USB-serial, devices it finds plugged in to the USB bus at the time. The driver you need will depend on which interface type you are using. The error message is because it wasn't connected to the USB bus before JMRI is starting up. ' /dev/cu.usbmodemfa461 ' is a modem driver, which means it isn't the right one anyway. What device are you using to connect the Mac to your DCC system and have you installed the relevant driver? Has JMRI worked before, or is this a new install?
